Today, I discovered le Prix de Diane Longines in Chantilly, sometimes referred to as the French Oaks. It is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to three-year-old thoroughbred fillies. It was the first time I’ve ever attended any kind of horse racing event and it was made even more exciting by the fact that I was invited to enjoy the day along with the team from Longines. The Swiss watchmakers support many sporting events throughout the world and have become a true symbol of passion and striving for excellence partnering with the Prix de Diane for many years.
The day is not only a competition on the race track but also in the stands of the racecourse where the most beautiful dresses and finest hats are competing. Personally, I loved spotting some of the ‘not so’ elegant outfits. The crazy outfits and hats bring a special creative flair and sense of fun to the day and also made for a great conversation starter.
As for my outfit, Longines was kind enough to invite me in to visit the flagship store at rue de sèvre and lend me a watch form the latest La Dolce Vita collection for this special event. The perfect accessory along side my Tara Jarmon dress and sailor/flying saucer inspired hat that I absolutely loved from Mademoiselle Chapeaux the best hat maker in Paris.
Here are a few pictures to share from my day at this event that I hope to see you at next year!
