Hey mes petits dreamers,
Today I discovered L’église de la Madeleine and that more steps should be covered in flowers.
L’église de la Madeleine is the third most visited church in Paris. Built by the Roman Catholics in the 8th arrondissement and dedicated to Mary Magdalene.
Over 600,000 people visit the church every year and climb the broad steps that lead up to the relics. What makes today’s visit more special is that at the moment all 28 steps that lead up to the monument are completely covered with flowers. And yes it looks as beautiful as it sounds.
The usually blank stairs are currently a blanket of fragrant and colourful blooms. Geraniums, petunias, scarlet sage, tuberous begonias, geraniums, petunias and some other pretty white flowers. Names unknown. Sorry.
I’ll be sure to come back another day to give you a little more insight about the history of the church. Ok, that’s probably unlikely. So for now just enjoy the flowers 🙂
Still getting lost in the right direction.
