Hey mes petits dreamers !

Today I discovered le Parc Monceau and barbe à papa, aka – fairy floss (or cotton candy if you’re American) Don’t lie – you know you secretly love it.  You’re just too embarrassed to hold it because you’re over the age of 5.  Don’t be.

After a couple of days of jaw dropping monumental moments (literally) I needed a nature hit to recharge the batteries.  I always find that a regular date with nature keeps me grounded and saves me from floating off into the sky.

So, off I went to the Parc Monceau in the 8th arrondissement, not far from the Arc de Triomphe.  What a hidden gem.

This park is rather magical but I’m not going to bore you with a history lesson. On to more important things – like the discovery of my barbe à papa.  After wandering around for what felt like hours in awe of my surroundings, a little girl came up to me munching on her pink delight and eyeing my own piece of arm candy – otherwise known as my pink balloon.  For a moment I contemplated making a trade but, as her parents were nowhere to be seen and as I’ve only just arrived, I didn’t really want to be locked up for taking candy from a kid.

So I went and purchased my very own pink barbe à papa. Delicious.

Life is good.

See you tomorrow!

Bisous
