Bonjour mes petits dreamers,
Today I discovered Ladurée and the famous macaron.
According to legend, the macaron was originally created in an Italian monastery and arrived in France for the marriage of King Henry II. Ladurée Macarons came later when Pierre Desfontaines the second cousin of Louis Ernest Ladurée, first thought of taking two macaron shells and joining them with a scrumptious ganache filling. Every season, Ladurée pays its macaron respects by creating a new flavour in memory of Pierre.
The Ladurée chain of pastry shops has been around for 150 years and proved that macarons are so popular that now you can even buy them in McDonald’s. Tres chic 😉
Still getting lost in the right direction
